Kaifi Khalil gained popularity as a singer and music composer when he participated in the Pakistani music TV show Coke Studio Season 14. In the hit song Kana Yaari, he collaborated with Pakistani rapper Eva B and Tambura player Abdul Wahab Bugti.
In the slum area of Lyari, known for its violence, gangsters, and drugs, Khalil watched his musician father grow up and became interested in music. After his father’s passing, Khalil sought odd jobs to stay afloat. He learned to play the guitar through YouTube videos after purchasing a second-hand guitar with his savings.
